Listening to great music often generates physical reactions in the listeners. For some, it’s head-nodding; others may tap their feet or imitate the instruments being played. One may be so physically involved in the music they’re listening to that they don’t particularly pay attention to how that experience visually shifts the space around them. The idea is that those shifts could serve as accurate visual reflections of the sounds being heard.

I wanted to experiment with the notion of using personal visual perceptions generated by those reactions as representative of the songs and/or albums that are being played, displayed in the context of the album cover format. To that end, I utilize the camera as both an instrument of motion mimicry and an independent response outlet.
